When Shanti was 2, she ran from her parent’s apartment butt-naked, waking the neighbors as she sang her heart out. And she has never stopped. This beautiful and intense girl has the vocal power to send chills down your spine or seduce you with her honest lyrics and strong, playful sexuality. Shanti started classical piano at age 5 and voice at age seven. She had her first of many recording offers at age 13 after winning and singing in the mayor’s talent show at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI. She continued recording and performing her own demo CD, gaining 4 indie record label offers and performing with acclaim at various festivals. Shanti went on to meet Darryl Swann- producer of the Macy Gray albums. Together, they began working diligently; writing and creating songs that give her a distinct, competitive sound.
